Dear Mr. Henshaw
Dear Mr. Henshaw is the garage folk/alternative rock one-man band of Mike Surber (of the Seattle-based indie rock band Sons of Guns). Based in Eugene, Oregon, Dear Mr. Henshaw combines gentle folk and northwest rock into his performances, using as many body parts as possible (vocals, guitar, harmonica, and foot drums—sometimes all at once) to make you feel things. You may feel a little guilty, like you've just been reading someone's diary, you might feel a little sweaty, like you just celebrated a secret victory. But by the end of a set, it'll be clear that Dear Mr. Henshaw is right there with you—feeling all of that and more.
